Regional seminars “Circular Economy and Efficient Waste Managment: Challenges and Opportunities”
In September and October 2024, within the framework of the LIFE integrated project, a series of six seminars was held throughout Latvia "Circular Economy and Efficient Waste Management. Challenges and Opportunities", during which solutions were sought for current challenges for improving waste management and implementing the principles of the circular economy. The seminar series aimed at fostering discussions on implementing circular economy measures in municipalities, sharing experiences, and seeking solutions to current circularity-related challenges has concluded. Over 250 representatives from state and municipal institutions, waste management and recycling companies, non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions participated in the seminar series.The 3rd seminar took place in Jēkabpils, during which the participants visited the Hyrogas pilot plant at the Municipal Waste Landfill in Dziļā Vāda.
