Oceano aMICO2

On May 8 and 9, a conference "Oceano aMICO2. Sequestro di CO2 in acque marine: motivazione, opportunita e metodi " was held in Milan. " (Ocean-friendly. CO2 sequestration in marine waters: motivations, opportunities and methods). This was the first event jointly organized by POLIMI (Politechnico di Milano - Polytechnico University of Milan) and BICOCCA (Università degli studi di Milano - University of Milan), the aim of which is to present the results of research to the participants and discuss strategies related to the capture of atmospheric CO2 in ocean waters. In the conference also were presented the results of the Limenet technology testing and validation project, which Hyrogas implemented in cooperation with POLIMI in the Italian port city of La Spezia. The participants of the conference participated both in person and remotely, the great interest in this event once again demonstrates the relevance of the topic at the moment, as well as allows us to hope that the strategies and researches discussed will contribute to future climate change mitigation scenarios.
